This is a short film about the global HIV and AIDS response lead by the young generation. Youths and representatives of community networks and health care centers in Cambodia, United States, Mexico, Botswana, Russia and India talk about HIV awareness and prevention.

In the last part of the interview with Dr Anthony Fauci he reflects on the global HIV/AIDS situation and response. He also compares AIDS to other diseases such as the Bird Flu, and discusses the specific social and socioeconomic factors of HIV/AIDS.

Sten Vermund from University of Alabama reflects on the history of the global AIDS epidemic and his involvement in the field as a young scientist in the 80's. He discusses the social and economic factors of HIV/AIDS, such as stigma, poverty and the drug industry.

Interview with Pathologist Christian Isichei, founder of the Faith Alive Hospital in Jos in Nigeria. He talks about the drug industry and access to ARV treatment in Africa and his experiences from the annual conference at the Institute of Human Virology (IHV) in Baltimore.

This film is about the global AIDS situation. The film starts in Europe and the United States and ends up in Zimbabwe and Uganda. It tells about the global disparities of drug access, but also about the successful HIV and AIDS responses of Thailand, Cambodia and Uganda.

Helene Gayle is an AIDS expert who has been working in many different initiatives in the US, among them the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). She also works in President Obama's advisory group on HIV/AIDS. Here she talks about understanding and changing behaviors.

This production was made as the opening film for the IV International AIDS Conference in Stockholm in June 1988. It gives a broad representation of the global AIDS situation in the late 1980's, and has a particular focus on social structures, poverty and stigma.
