Praphan Phanupak is Professor in Immunology and the Director of the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre (TRC-ARC). He also works at Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok. Here he talks about the incidence and prevalence of HIV infections in different parts of Thailand and about human experiments on Thai drug users. He also talks about the prevalence of opportunistic infections, of which he claims tuberculosis is the most common, affecting about fifty percent of the AIDS patients in Thailand.
