XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City. Interview with three pioneers in the HIV/AIDS response - Dr Mervyn Silverman and Dr Paul Volberding from San Francisco General Hospital, and the Swedish Dr Lars Olof Kallings who is currently the United Nations Secretary-General Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS. They talk about the history of the AIDS movement and reflect on some of the most important pioneers in HIV/AIDS health policy, such as the founder of WHO's Global Program for AIDS, Jonathan Mann, as well as the current UNAIDS Director Peter Piot.
