Mr Subbarao is secretary of state for health in the Tamil Nadu Government in Chennai. In this interview he talks about the educational and medical work lead by the government. They support HIV testing services at health centers, self-help groups, education in schools, etc. He talks particularly about the work to empower and educate women about HIV prevention, and reaching out to truck drivers who are also sex buyers.
