XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City. Interview with Lennart Hjelmåker, Swedish AIDS Ambassador, and Åsa Hindenborg from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about the themes of the conference and the future of AIDS response.

Mr Subbarao is secretary of state for health in the Tamil Nadu Government in Chennai. In this interview he talks about the educational and medical work lead by the government. He talks particularly about empowering and educate women about HIV prevention.

Helene Gayle is an AIDS expert who has been working in many different initiatives in the US, among them the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). She also works in President Obama's advisory group on HIV/AIDS. Here she talks about understanding and changing behaviors.

Jamaican physician Dorothy Blake explains how other sexually transmitted diseases can make HIV easier to catch. She also talks about three main aspects of HIV prevention, which for instance includes a safe sex approach rather than a behavior modification approach.

4th International AIDS Conference in Stockholm in 1988. Australian Judge Michael Kirby estimates the prevalence of HIV/AIDS and talks about the scientific discoveries so far. He reflects on the moral issues connected with AIDS and talks about stigma and civil rights.
